Today was the day where the people of Welda knew me as “The empress Jayda Wellsbrooke of Welda." I was still processing how I got into this situation. Just a day ago I was known as the heir of Welda, but now people look up to me like the empress of Welda.

-Flashback 12 days from now

It was my 17th birthday and I was very excited to celebrate my birthday as I was supposed to spend time with my whole family. I had been waiting for this moment for ages, but I was scared at the same time. It was because of my father who was known as “The living devil”. People are terrified of him, and I am scared of him. He never took me as his own, and I always stayed away from him due to being too scared to talk to him. 

 If anyone disagreed with him he would crush them without a second thought. My dad always was cold and never spent any quality time with me, nor my family. I got ready and my mom walked in saying ”Everyone’s waiting for you Jayda you know your father doesn’t like it when you get late.” I walked downstairs, but on the way, I heard screaming. 

I got scared and I rushed downstairs to see my father lying on the ground dead. I feel tears rolling down my cheeks. After everyone was calmed down my mom walked toward me looking tired. She starts talking saying, “ As you know you’re the heir of the throne, and as your father has passed away you are not declared to be “The empress of Welda.” 

Back to the present day- 

    It was the day after the grieving of my father's death which meant it was the day of my coronation. I was getting ready to wear jewelry that has purple gems in it to show royalty which I didn’t enjoy the thought of. Once I get ready I go to the corridor and pass by my sister. Her name is Elly Wellsbrooke.

I felt sorrow thinking about it. She was a year younger than me which made me the heir to the throne, but now she is going to be the heir to the throne. I look at her staring at me with anger directed at me. She starts talking “Congratulations for the possession of the throne which you deserved,” she says this in a sarcastic voice. She holds a raven which refers to death and doom which scares me. I quickly come back to my senses when my mom calls out to my sister and me saying “Hurry up we do not want to keep everyone waiting!" I watched as my sister left, and I quickly followed her.

As I walked into the hall everyone had their eyes on me while I walked up to my mom. I get to my mom, and she places the stunning crown on my head as everyone starts clapping. I made my speech and all I waited for was the whole event to be over. I started meeting people there as I got tired. I asked to go to the bathroom.

Flashback 2 days from now-

I was walking down to eat breakfast when I heard my sister's voice on the way I heard her say “I need you to end her”. I knock on her door with curiosity. I hear shuffling coming from the room. After a moment she opens the door “Yes?” she says

 “Is everything alright?”

I say while looking at her room “yes everything is

 alright and you can leave now” she says while closing the door I walk away but I still had confusion running throughout my head. What could she mean by her and what did she do that made my sister want to end her. My thoughts were interrupted when my mom called me and my sister down for breakfast.
