In the forest, there was a bear named Sam. Sam was a very happy bear and was excited for winter to come soon.

Winter was Sam’s favorite time of year because he could spend time hibernating and sleeping all day long. Sam loved to spend time in his cave. 

One day, Sam decided to go into the forest to look for supplies to hibernate. He wanted to find twigs and leaves to make his cave more comfortable and cozy for the winter.

After walking around the forest, Sam found a gigantic pile of leaves and twigs. They would be perfect for his den!

Sam got very excited and started to put all of the leaves and twigs into his basket to bring back home when he heard someone shout “Hey, save some for me!”.

Hey, save some for me!

Sam turned around to see another bear in the forest named Susie. Sam asked Susie why she was shouting and Susie explained that he cannot take all of the twigs and leaves in the forest.
