“Did you hear about the new dress code?” exclaimed Amy.

Amy and Laurie sit down at the lunch table, aghast at the new mandatory dress code.

“Yeah, I’m already thinking of an article discussing it for the grapevine.¨   Laurie replied

“I think it’s so unfair that the school is taking away our right to express ourselves! What are people saying about it so far?”  Amy queried

Amy was originally astonished that the school could force a dress code on the entire student population out of the blue.

¨People are saying that they think its stupid, and that the school forcing it upon us is unfair and unjust!” Laurie said

"Well I don’t know, Principal Owens says that we need to start dressing for a professional setting.” amy stated

However, upon further speculation, Amy begins to doubt the retaliation against the dress code...

¨"That's all well and good, but the school should put more time into the problems that need fixing rather than the dress code." Laurie remarked 

“I see what you mean, but don’t you think some clothing choices could be distracting for others?”  Laurie asked

¨The only thing that would be distracting would be all the students that look like bums after they stop us from wearing what we want.¨" Laurie mentioned.
