Media is a Latin word (medium). Media literacy is the ability to understand, analyze, and create text. Media literacy is the ability to identify different types of media and understand the messages they are sending. We need to know where and how to get information, sort it, and distribute it carefully. With its help, information is disseminated in several ways:     Printed,   Visual,    Audio, and Digital.

         Printed  are:

   Newspaper, magazine,  

newsletter, book, 

  comics and more. 

                       Visual   are:
       Television, film, photo, drawing;

            Digital  are:
 Internet, social media, email, video games. 

            Audio are:

radio, music, CD, MP3 files

 Media literacy promotes the development of critical thinking, which is very important in life. Critical thinking is that mode of thinking — about any subject, content, or problem — in which the thinker improves the quality of his or her thinking by skillfully analyzing, assessing, and reconstructing it. Critical thinking is self-directed, self-disciplined, self-monitored, and self-corrective thinking.

We need to answer the questions:
 What? 

Where? 

When? 

How? 

Why? 

for what?

Everyone, including children, has the right to:

1. Protect their own lives from the unwanted attention of others;

2. Do not disclose details related to:

                 a. their health;

                 b. personal relationships;

                 c. Personal correspondence;

                 d. Use of personal photos, etc.
