Every kid dream, getting to go on adventures during school and enjoy learning. In this preschool, one full day every month children are inhibited to explore the world around them at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge. From discovering the remains of sea lions, to encountering 3 alive sea lions these children experience all sorts of magnificent things in nature. Following the Reggio Amelia approach these teachers create lesson plans based on their findings. One extraordinary thing the children got to do was create a blueprint of a tool to take trash out of the ocean, make said tool out of recycled materials, and then test their prototypes while helping out the earth at the same time. It is proven that time in nature is not only critical for healthy development, but also in addressing the growing ecological crisis by showing children what is happening on the Earth around them.
