Yummy!
On my counter in the kitchen, sits my wax melter. We put in different scents throughout the year to make our house smell good. The hard wax was placed on the top and when the bottom heats up it melts the wax. There is a light bulb that makes all this work without a flame being involved.

This is me driving in my car before I go to my school. I knew I had several stops I needed to do before based on my time. I had thirty minutes to get to my school and it's 20 minutes away. I still needed to get gas and pick up my lunch. In my head, I am doing the math of how much time I have and how much time each step takes. Once I got gas, I saw how much time I had left and was able to decide what to do on my second stop.

Don't Forget the Sauce!
I am sitting in the parking lot at Chick-fil-a waiting for my food. I used the app to order my food ahead of time. As I was looking through the menu, I was deciding on different items on the menu. I had a budget on how much I wanted to spend, so I needed to add different items together to see my different totals. Technology was used to send my order and they received it and knew what I wanted.

This picture was taken in downtown Kansas City, and as you can tell I was surrounded by different buildings. These buildings were made by engineers who used STEM as their process to make them. They used measurements, technology, built pieces to be put together, and science.
Hometown

I spent one of my snow days building a snowman with the girl I babysit. We had to figure out how big each body part needed to be. We compared each part with each other then began building it. We started stacking each piece until we built our snowman. She got creative by grabbing crackers for the eyes.
The Edible Snowman

This is the keypad that I use to get into the daycare where I work. I have to enter a four-digit pin to enter the building. I am using encoding when I type the numbers in and the box picks it up to unlock the door for me.
Let me in!

These are a couple of the toddlers at the daycare. They just had their snack, and now it's playtime. They are playing with magnets and building things with them. STEM has a big part because they use them to make buildings and houses. They use magnetic forces and have to figure out which sides go together. When they are building things, they figure out how many magnetic squares they need.
Future Engineers in the Making

This was a picture taken off my Uncle's drone. We went to a field by his house to watch him fly it and we got a picture with it. Drones are a technology that can be used for many different things. In this case, we just used it for fun and to capture some photos. Some examples of how drones can be used are seeing the progress on buildings, observing different bodies of water, or forests.
