Once upon a time, there lived a happy little town called Brownsville. Animals would spend each day playing in harmony without a single worry in the world. Everything and everyone was peaceful in this town.
The only thing that would strike fear in the animals was the urban legend, "the Power Monster." This being would be from the west of Brownsville and contained all the power in the entire forest. Filled with anger and jealousy of others' happiness, the monster was known to create destruction wherever it went. However, the power monster was never seen before and would become long forgotten.
Until the arrival of the monster...
While the animals were playing, they heard a monstrous rhythm, bam, bam, thud, thud. Some animals said it was probably an upcoming thunderstorm, others said that it was the sound of jump rope. It wasn't until the power monster came that put the animals in a state of shock and panic.
The power monster would not stop until all of Brownsville was destroyed. It tore down walls, broke down homes, and worst of all caused the separation of the tight community of animals.

When the benevolent King of Brownsville heard about the ruckus, he was advised to flee the town immediately. The king refused to leave his people behind and decided to use his authority to negotiate with the monster. He knew the power monster wanted something, and in order to restore Brownsville to what it was before, he knew they needed to bargain.
After the power monster heard the king's plea, the monster roared, "I will never let you get in the way of me doing whatever I want to do, King of Brownsville! Your animals may be inseparable, but I am the only one that could change that!"
The scattered inhabitants of Brownsville heard the King and the power monster and decided to come together and unite. The strength and courage they felt as a community overcame any feelings of fear. Together, they were more powerful than the power monster itself.
