One day, I was sitting in class reading my book when my teacher, Mr. Nalley, walked up to the front of the class.

"Class, I would like you to know that we will be introducing a new face to our classroom tomorrow!", said Mr. Nalley. 

I was so excited to meet a new friend. My face grew a grin in an instant. 

I told my mom the great news when she picked me up from school. We talked about what I may do with my new friend and about how excited I was. 

I couldn't wait to go to school tomorrow. There were so many different things I wanted to tell the new person. I began to write everything down so my new friend could keep up. 

The next day, my teacher finally announced that the new student would be here any minute. "Class, I want you to be very nice and kind when our new classmate gets here. I'm sure he will be very nervous!"

"There he is now!" continues Mr. Nalley. A shy boy slowly entered the classroom. "Class, I would like you to meet Ravi. He moved here all the way from India." 

Mr. Nalley motioned Ravi towards the desk next to me. "Here Ravi, you can take a seat next to Sadie here." I was so happy that he was going to sit next to me!
