Ornstein was excited for his first day of school. Ornstein was a fish and he was so excited to meet the other animals at school. His mom dropped him into his mobile fish tank and drove him to school.

Ornstein wheeled himself into the classroom and was so happy to see so many other animals. There were cats, and frogs, and cheetahs, and elephants. The teacher walked into the room. She was a giraffe. The first lesson of the day was going to be gym class. Ms. Giraffe was excited to teach the kids to run, and climb, and jump.

A few minutes into the lesson, Ornstein began to feel sad. He was watching all the other animals jump and play and run, but no matter how hard he tried he was just not able to join in. When he went back home after school, his mom noticed he was sad and they talked about what had happened today.

I can run the fastest!

I can jump really high!

I can't do any of those things.

His mom realized that Ornstein just had different needs and abilities than the other animals. She called Ms. Giraffe and together they came up with a plan to include Ornstein in all the day’s activities and lessons.
