Far far away in a grassy field lived Janie’s 

mother and father

and of course Janie. 

She wondered day in and day out ...

                                            Why don't I look like

                                            Mommy and daddy?

One day Janie started feeling different.

There were things happening that she 

couldn't control. She was very sleepy. 

So she climbed up in the tree to get some 

rest. She wrapped herself up very tight in a 

blankie. 

Days passed. 

Night fell. 

When she woke up she just felt different. 

She could not maneuver like she used to.

As she approaches the pond. She realizes 

she looks like her mommy and daddy!

They kiss her, snap a picture, and tell her to 

be safe. 

She flies out into this big open world. 

Day comes. She flies.

Night falls she flies. 

One day Jason was flying on the path Janie 

flew daily. 

As they continued talking they noticed night 

fell.

For weeks they always met at the same place.

Eventually they had little caterpillar babies of 

their own.

Excited to share the news with her 

mommy and daddy Janie flew to the 

grassy plain.
