There are many different types of energy in our world. We use solar, heat, sound and electric energy everyday among many other types. 

From using the sun's rays to boiling a pot of tea the uses we have for converting energy is endless.

The Sun is our most abundant form of energy in the form of solar energy. 

Using solar panels, we can capture solar energy from the sun to directly transfer into electrical energy.

The light from the sun provides energy for the plant life on Earth to use. They use this energy to perform photosynthesis, which is how plants get the food they need to grow.

Humans and other animals will then eat these plants and that energy will transfer to us to use in our bodies. 

Our next form of energy is heat energy. Heat energy from a fire warms our bodies up if we are close enough and heats the environment around it. 

We use this energy in the form 

of fire which chemically releases

energy. 

We also use heat energy to cook our food or boil water.
