“Hi Grandma, you’re finally here! I was waiting for
you all day. Are you going to continue on with the
story about the hero?”
“Oh. Sure I will. ”
"Look, Grandma. I made a vampire at school."
“I see, I have a great vampire story that's a real one.
I’ll continue on with the hero story next time.”
“Arg… fine. You promised!”

“So,
when I was little…

January 1st is the day the people in the village all
gather for an ancient ceremony. However, the way to
the place is very harsh and dangerous. The Vampire’s
castle is the place where they have their ceremony once
a year. They go to the enchanted castle and dance, play,
until midnight. At midnight, the Vampire comes down
and says a long speech, and then the lightning bolts are
released. The people who could not reach the castle by
midnight, would be killed by the electricity released by
the lightning bolts. In the meantime, the people in the
castle would get in a single line and wait until it is their
turn. The Vampire would give each of them a white,
shiny new tooth. After getting their new tooth, the
Vampire gives them a fly home on his back.

Something special
happened to this
village one year...

The day of the
ceremony was coming
closer. Five more days,
Sam counted on his
calendar.

It was December 31st and Sam’s little
sister was born. However, Sam’s mom
was very weak from giving birth to Sam’s
little sister, Sally. It was a fortunate day
for Sally to be born. Sam’s mom could not
go to the castle because she had no
strength to stand up.

Finally, January first came. Sam and his family got ready
and headed to the Vampire’s castle. Sam, his dad, and Sally
crossed the river filled with crocodiles. He found out that
they were not even getting close because of Sally. Sam’s
family was lagging behind the others. It was almost
midnight, but they had a long way to go. They fought
many Zombies, throwing Sally around each other like a
football to keep her out of harm.

‘Ding, ding…’ 12 times. It was midnight. The Vampire sent
out lightning bolts. Everyone who couldn’t reach the castle
got electrified. While Sam was watching their neighbors
die, Sam and his dad held hands tightly, and was wishing
each other good luck and to see each other in heaven.
