Jimmy the gentle cow and his adventures on a farm

One day, Jimmy the Gentle cow set out on a fantastic journey to discover
the wonders of agriculture.

Jimmy set out on his journey and quickly came across a very nice
set of plains and crops. He then asked
Carrie the chicken what it was.
Carrie then told Jimmy, "those are
croplands. They produce foods like
grain and provide about about 77%
of world food."

Then Jimmy asked, "how do they get the
grains out of the land and keep
them growing?"
"Well jimmy, they have different
techniques like contour plowing,
strip cropping, and terracing. Let me
explain..."

"What the heck are those?"

"Well, strip cropping is a special way of planting the crops in
order to reduce the depletion
of the soil. Terracing is another special
way of planting the crops on a steep
slope that helps reduce soil erosion and
retain water. Lastly, contour plowing is a
type of plowing across a slope of land
rather than a straight line in order to keep
water and make it more efficient.

"Thanks for tellingme all of this Carrie,
its been a blast!"
...Why did you say
bycatch?
But i'm not a fish?
"No problem Jimmy the Gentle Cow.....
...bycatch you later!
Haha, it was a joke, I was saying
(bye, catch you later), but i said
BYCATCH as a joke. It is a
technique to catching fish with a
large net and line.
I know, that's why its funny!

Just out of curiosity, where would they
use this technique?
...Okay, well bye for
real!
They use it in FISHERIES. They are concentrations
of particular fish that are
suitable for harvesting in a
given ocean area.
Cya Jimmy!

Then Jimmy the Gentle Cow continued on his journey. He then came across Perry the Rare Rangeland Penguin.
"Hello there, can you pleasetell me where i am and what
this place is?"
"Well friend, i am Perry the
Rare Rangeland Penguin. You
are in a Rangeland. It is land
that supplies forage and
vegetation for grazing and
browsing animals like me."

As Jimmy continued on his journey, he quickly discovered
that all of the different species
have different characteristics
and ideas based on their specific
habitats.
Hello there friend, what is your name?
None of your business. Move along pal!

Whats got your panties in a bunch? You seem pretty
upset bud.
To tell you the truth, i have beenupset and angry since the whole
DESERTIFICATION of 2012. Basically
the productivity of agriculture
dropped by about 10% and really
messed the lives of all that live here.

Oh...sorry to hear that. What is your name anyway?
My name is Nightingale the Ninja. After the desertification I decided
to hide my identity since everyone
is so cutthroat about food and
resources. But you seem trustworthy.
It was very nice to meet you. Have
fun on your adventure.

Whoa...Hello, what areyour names?
