For Mrs Lui

I was bored at home, so I decided to explore my house. After a while of messing up the room in search of something interesting, I found my great-great grandfather's diary. I read two very interesting pages of the diary, so I decided to share it in this book.

Dear diary,

                     today, I officially became a police officer! A few days ago, I saw a poster about the police department looking for potential recruits that were fighting for better work conditions and higher wages, thus I applied. Today, when I was selling noodles at a street store that hired me, I saw a group of people gathering outside the police station. Thus, I closed the shop quicky and went to check what the commotion was all about.

After I went there, I realised it was the list of potential recruits that were selected to become recruits, after a long list of names I finally saw my name! I was ecstatic that I could possibly have a better life.
