I dedicate this book to my family. Thank you for always loving me unconditionally and encouraging me. Also, to my wonderful brother Luke, I love you.

When I was little, I used to wander outside of the house to look for my mom. She was at work, but I thought she was at the store.
One day, I sneaked out of the house while upstairs with my uncle and someone found me heading to the store.

He brought me to the hospital to make sure I was not hurt. He was very nice. The nurse called my parents to pick me up.

Mom was at work. My dad picked me up. He looked very worried, but I couldn't understand anything. Mom rushed to meet us there.

I don't wander anymore but my brother Luke
does. He goes to the neighbor's house.

Stop coming to my house or else I will call the cops on you.

Where is Luke?

Oh, no I think he went to the neighbor's house again.

Hey, stop!

Sometimes Luke goes to the neighbor's house, like how I used to run away. The neighbors don't like that. They scream at Luke and kick him out. They call the police on him and they say untrue things about him.

Leave My Brother Alone!

Yeah, stop screaming.

I don't care!

He has autism, so stop calling the cops on him!

He keeps banging on the door!

Then I will tell you what autism is.

I know but I don't care!
Autism is when people are different. They communicate differently and they feel things differently. And Luke is nonverbal which means he is not able to communicate. Get it?
Also, people with autism wander because they are unaware of danger or maybe attracted to something. I think it is the case for my brother, but he can't communicate that to us. You both can at least be nice and understanding.
hmm? I still don't want him in my house.

Don't call the cops please.
