Problems with Industrialization 

More factories meant more workers which 

cause overcrowding in city's. The factories 

cause pollution and led to labor abuse and cjild 

labor. 

Luddites

Luddites where a society that fought and 

protested against machines taking jobs from 

people. They stole supplies and destroyed 

machines in protest. 

Child Labor

Child labor became a problem during the 

industrial revolution. Children where sought 

after due to cheap pay and ease to move 

around in the crowded shops. 

Utopian Socialists 

During the Industrial revolution there where 

certain people who opened factories that 

provided good conditions for there workers and 

they transformed the nearby town into a ideal 

living society. These people where called 

Utopians 

Karl Marx

Karl Marx felt that the Industrial Revolution 

allowed the rich to get richer and the poor to 

get poorer. The industrial revolution inspired 

Marx to invent communism because he 

thought the working class was doomed to 

forever work for low wages.
