Thomson's model (1904)

which Tiny particles are included?

Dalton’s atomic model represents the atom as the smallest and most indivisible particle of matter. John Dalton (1766-1844) proposed that atoms were the basic building blocks of matter and represented them as solid spheres.
While the ancient Greeks believed atoms made matter, they disagreed on what atoms were.
What is the advancement compared to previous ones?
2.Atoms of an element share common properties.
3. Atoms of different elements have different properties and different atomic weights.
4. Atoms that combine with each other obey the Law of Multiple Proportions. In other words, when elements combine, the ratio in which the atoms combine can be expressed as a ratio of whole numbers.

-Dalton based his theory on the law of conservation of mass and the law of constant composition.
-The first complete attempt to describe all matter in terms of atoms and their properties.
Dalton's atomic theory
Background:

The parts of dalton's atomic theory:
-The third part says compounds are combinations of two or more different types of atoms.
The experiment of atomic structure:
In 1897, the British physicist J. J. Thomson (1856–1940) proved that atoms were not the most basic form of matter.
