It happened one night. Bob a six and a half year old 

boy had a dream that was the best dream in his 

life.In that dream there was an interesting parrot and 

him wearing a Super Hero costume. They flew to 

space in a rocket that went 100,000,000 miles per 

hour. It was fantastic! Bob didn't understand 

anything but the dream was surreal. And Bob had a 

feeling that it was an unusual dream. When the 

rocket stopped they went outside. They both saw the 

moon shining in a space and the distant earth that by 

that time was covered by night.The parrot suddenly 

said in a kind of strange voice, " Look there!"-and she 

showed the moon-" See this alien?", Bob 

concentrated his sight on the moon. 

Suddenly he realized an alien standing   on the moon is 

smiling at him. He was in a deep amazement! He started 

laughing and laughing! But the parrot stopped his 

laughter. She said to in a strange manner for the second 

time, " Your going to fly on the moon one day in real 

life...". 

Suddenly he heard his alarm clock ringing...

Eight years went by Bob was 14 years old so already . But Bob still 

couldn't stop dreaming about his trip to the moon. One day he couldn't 

stop himself and he told his parents about his dream. They were were 

on a walk and he exclaimed,   "I want to go to the moon soon". But his  

parents weren't so convinced about this idea. They firmly said, " Bob we 

understand your dream but we are afraid that you will not come back 

and die...That is why we cannot let you do this". Bob was struck with a 

deep sadness. He tried to defend his plan, " But Mum, Dad I..." But his 

parents wouldn't let him say anything. Dad said, " We are sad that you 

cant do it but we are really afraid about your life. But because we love 

you and we want your dreams to come true we promise that when you 

are gonna turn 18 you can think about that space travel of yours. If you 

will still have the same dream obviously;)" and he smiled. Unfortunately, 

Bob wasn't so happy as his dad and mum. He wanted to go now! Even 

though he knew he was a bit too small he knew somehow there would 

be a way his parents could get him in a rocket!  

 He really wanted this to happen. He dreamed and 

dreamed and dreamed...

Finally the day in which he turned 18 came. Bob was very 

excited. He got the racket and was ready to sett off. He was 

in the suit of an astronaut and he stood in front of the rocket. 

His parents cried and laughed at the same time. They were 

happy for him but they were also worried that something bad 

could happen to him. It was dangerous travel after all. Bob 

himself, laughed and a sort of wave of happiness went to 

him. He was so excited! He slowly went in the rocket, sat in 

his pilot seat and waited for the woman to count from ten to 0 

so the rocket could start. Suddenly he heard the sound:

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0 and the rocket started to go up 

and up into space. he was terrified but still extremaly happy! 

He cried from happiness! He slowly started to see the stars 

and the earth getting smaller and smaller. 

Finally he reached the beautiful space that he always 

wanted   to reach and maybe meet some alien there.
