My name is Beebo, and I am a baker. I knead the dough and bake it until the smell of bread fills the air. I like to make other baked goods like biscuits, croissants, bagels, pies, and cakes.

One day I was closing my bakery when I saw a strange black cat staring into my shop. “I have never seen this cat around before,” I thought. I walked to the front door to greet the strange black cat, but he bolted away as soon as he saw me.
I followed the direction of the strange black cat, which led me to the edge of town. I continued to follow the footprints of the strange black cat until they stopped at a tall tree. I was stumped. I couldn’t think of where the strange black cat could have gone.

Until I heard a faint meow from above me, I looked up and saw the strange black cat. “Hello,” I said as I introduced myself, “My name is Beebo. I am a baker. What’s your name?”. “Salem. My name is Salem, and I came to your bakery earlier because I have a business proposal for you.” “A business proposal? I wasn’t sure what that meant, so I asked Salem to come down so we could talk.

Salem slithered down the tree and instructed me to follow him. Hesitant, I let him lead the way as we walked toward a small cottage up on the hill. “I have never seen this place before,” I said to Salem. He replied, “That’s because you don’t leave your bakery.” He was right. I loved making biscuits so much that I practically lived at the bakery!

“I prefer not to leave this place very much either,” said Salem. “Beebo, I bought you here because I think we would make a good team. I was doing my usual tree climbing when I stumbled upon these red berries. I was curious, so I bought some home. After many failed attempts, I made the most delicious beverage. I call it coffee.”
