Made with great effort and love

It was a beautiful day and William and his family moved into their new house. It was an old but charming house near a lake.

William and his sister Lilly were watching TV in the living room when they heard a strange noise like somebody was walking in the basement.

They were scared to death! They were alone at home so William went down to the basement to check where the noise came from.

Suddenly, the lights went out and William saw a dark figure coming towards him. He screamed loudly "Help!" 

"Don't be scared, William. l won't hurt you." the dark figure said.

The dark figure continued...

And then he disappeared! Wiliam was shocked and nervous. He also realised that somebody was behind him! 

"In the summer when it's hot 

you go to cool yourself down to this spot. 

In a hole you will find something magic

 that will save me."

He turned around and saw his sister. Lilly was speechless and she immediately fainted. When she came round, William explained to her what had happened.

A few  minutes later they tried to solve the ghost's riddle but they couldn't figure it out. While William was sleeping he dreamed of the solution!

The next day William and Lilly ran to the lake to search for something magic. The big tree by the lake was the coolest spot in the hot days!

They started looking for the hole that the ghost mentioned and they thought of digging into ground.

"I'm tired. Can we go now? It's hopeless.We don't know what we are looking for, anyway" Lilly complained after many hours of digging and searching.

Suddenly, they discovered a hole on the big tree.They put their hands into the hole and they touched something small made out metal.
