Once upon a time there was an elephant named Horton who was casually walking in the woods.

As Horton was exploring he came across a puddle of water and decided to play. As he was playing in the water he heard a small voice speak to him. "HELP HELP" the small voice said but he could not see them.

As he hoped out of the water to see where the noise was coming from he noticed a flower. As he got closer he could hear them more. 

As he picked up the flower and investigated more he could hear the voices a little clearer. As they began to talk he learned that they were in a dangerous spot to live and needed to be moved. 

Although Horton could not see them there were tiny things called Who's living on the flower. As they began to talk Horton realized that he had been splashing them while playing in the water.

He is extremely apologetic about what he has done and wants to make it up to them by placing the flower in a safe spot within the forest. The Who's were quick to let him help them and so the journey began. 

As they were walking through the forest Horton runs into a friend of his. As he is explaining why he is on this journey to save the Whos home his friend stops him and says that can't be true. 

After hearing Horton had been talking to a flower the word quickly spread amongst the forest. They decided it would be best to take the flower from Horton.
