1. History of the school

School №5 begins its history from the primary school opened in 1968, 40 pupils were studying there then.

In 1972 the eight-year primary school was established on the base of the primary school. There were 98 students at the school then.

The school was winning prizes in the district,repeatedly received the Red Banner and valuable gifts. School's pupils were working with drama theatre artists, staging performances together and showing them in the villages of Zaigrayevsky district.

Two classes of cadets were set up in 1999. In 2002, a computer classroom was equipped. The same year, a separate elementary school building was opened.

Today our school is one of the most recognizable school of the city. Our pupils regulary win city's competitions and olympics in the school subjects.

The greatest thing our school has got after the renovation is Radio. Currently 28 pupils from each grade are working there pleasing our ears on the breaks.

4. Organizations at school

Our school is responsible for the organization of leisure of its students. Therefore, our school has many organizations in it: basketball section, radio, "Youth Army", "RDS", math, art and reading sections. Also, intellectual games are regularly held in our city. "Thinkers" is a team defending the honor of our school on them. This year our little geniuses became the first in one of the disciplines of games. Now they are intensively preparing for the upcoming competitions.Currently, the sections of our school are attended by 300 pupils
