Once upon a time......
A very happy family that lived in Oklahoma in a farm.They loved
there farm and they lived a very nice life.

Tim was sad because his dad was going to New York.

Tim's dad had to go to the city in order to get money form the bank.They wanted to expand
there ranch because most of the land was really tired ,and they needed to harvest crops.

As Johny's dad got to the bank he became very sad. Many people were very angry and sad.
The bank had failed,and many people had no money left because they put all there money away.
Suddenly many people started to loose jobs and became very poor not only in New York but
also many farms.

Meanwhile, back in Oklahoma, Johny was left with his mother and his younger sister Claire.
John, back in New York, did not know that the dust storms had hit his family farm or the Evil
Depression Era.

John came back home to find his family very sad. The farm had been destroyed and everything
was really dirty,and now they had no money.

Franklin D Roosevelt which was president during this Depression Era was the hope of many
farmers and the American people. He presented farmers and people from the city a program
called " The New Deal".This helped many people from farms and cities because america had no jobs.
This deal was set agencies to help with the struggles in the farms,and in the city.

John's family was very devastated because they started to worry about the farm,and John had to
find himself another job.Luckily The New Deal started to help them ,and many different agencies
had various policies. But Tim's family was still sad because his father had to leave and work far
away.By this time the evil depression had began to hide.
