"Hurry up!", yelled Mrs. Amanda."You are going to be late for school!" "Coming!" yelled Erica, "I have to go get my  backpack!" "Fine, but make it quick we have to try and beat this storm!" "Ok I'm ready !" said Erica. "Good, now get in the car. I will meet you there."

"Bye see you later" said Mrs. Amanda. "Bye" said Erica over the rushing wind. Then she ran into school.

"Hi!" said Cody as he walked by. "Hi!" said Erica. "How  was your weekend?" "Good how was yours?" "Good!" said Erica. 

As Erica walked into the classroom she was greeted by her teacher Mrs. Jones. "Hello!" "How was your weekend?" said Mrs. Jones. "Great." said Erica.

"Ok class I think that is everyone so lets get started. We will start with Social Studies and end with Science. "So, please pull out your Social Studies notebooks and we will be learning about World War 1. Now as some of you may know it started in Europe"... and then KA-POW! The power went out and everyone screamed.

"Its ok everyone calm down." said Mrs. Jones. "Its just a power outage. The school is probably calling the power company to come fix the power. In the meantime you can color or read."
