Dedicated to all mothers and future mothers

Hello, my name is Emma, and this is the story of how I was diagnosed with (FAS) fetal alcohol syndrome. My mother was young and was still partying before and after she found out she was pregnant.

Growing up with FAS I had to endure physical and cognitive issues. My facial features are abnormal compared to others. I have small eyes, thin upper lip, and a short upturned nose

I've always known I was different from my peers. I struggled a lot in school. FAS has an impact on memory, attention span, communication, hearing, and vision. All of these elements are necessary for learning. Children with FAS are more likely to be teased because their behavior and appearance differ from others.
