One day I was on my phone and saw a cute dog video. 

This led me to more and more videos of adorable dogs. 

I thought to myself, "Maybe I should get a dog"? 

After this, I could not get the idea out of my head.

But I have a secret...

Really though, I was scared of dogs. 

All dogs! Small dogs, big dogs, fluffy dogs, sleek dogs. They all made me so nervous that I couldn't even be any where near them. 

I have always been more of a cat person. To be specific I have five cats.

When I would go to a friend's house that had a dog, I would always avoid their dog. 

They would always say,

"They're friendly"

"They don't bite"

But even if they were friendly it didn't matter. I was still scared.

One day I was out walking with my family.

We passed someone walking their dog. 

For once I did not find this dog to be scary. 

I said, "What kind of dog is that?" 

My mom said, "it is a Beagle, they are known for their sense of smell"

One time I saw a Beagle puppy at parade 

I approached the owner and asked, "May I pet your puppy; he is so cute"?

She said, "Of course you can"!

After that she said, "It is my son's puppy; he got it last week. This is his first time out on the town."

From then on I started to warm up to dogs. 

When I went to my friend's houses I would push myself to pet their dogs.
