Once upon a time there was a girl named Nyla. She was a
special child, because she had special powers. One night
Nyla’s mother told her to enchant a tree to grow
blueberries so she could make blueberry pancakes.

She did as her mother told her, and as she began to
pick the blueberries, a BIG hairy monster came and
took her.

The big, green monster took Nyla to a black
terrifying dungeon. He put her to sleep and stole all
of her powers. The next morning Nyla woke up in a
strange and unfamiliar place. She tried to unlock the
door with her powers, but it didn’t work.

Day after day she waited for someone to come save
her. Then one day the monster appeared with food.

“Please let me leave,” Nyla begged, ignoring the food.
“I cannot do that,” the monster said. “I need your special powers so the Evil Witch
can give me my old life back. I was human a long time ago until she turned me into
this ugly, hideous monster.”
She frowned. “Well you have my powers. Why can’t you just let me go?”
“Because you’ll tell on me.”
“I promise I won’t.”
“I can’t take that chance.” He walked out and locked the door behind him.

Nyla lay on the bed and cried. I’ll never see my mommy again, she thought.
Suddenly a tiny fairy appeared beside her.
"I can help you out of here," the fairy said.
"How?" Nyla asked.
The fairy handed her a piece of paper and said, "solve this riddle by
tomorrow."

It is a thing that can
get you out of this
place. it is dark blue.
That's your clue.

Nyla read it over and over again until she realized the answer.
The fairy came back and asked Nyla what the answer was.
"It's a magical key!" she exclaimed.
"You're right!" The fairy gave her the key and smiled
brightly.

She jumped with joy before unlocking the door, and
ran as fast as a cheetah all the way home. She lived
happily ever after.
THE END.
