We are first-year high school students, from different schools, and we wanted to collaborate together in writing an article on one of the important issues for people and the world as a whole.Quitting smoking
Although quitting smoking is difficult, ultimately smoking is a choice; It is your responsibility to choose whether or not to continue smoking. This article provides a brief overview of the risks associated with smoking. ; the various methods available to help you quit smoking; and steps you can take to make the process easier. Recognizing and understanding the many aspects of smoking habits can put you on the right track to successful smoking cessation.
The effect of smoking on human health




1-The effect of smoking on the respiratory system:
The transport of oxygen inside the body and the elimination of carbon dioxide is the main function of the lung, but smoking directly affects the efficiency of the work of the lungs, Smoking leads to:*Narrowing and bulging airways, which leads to difficulty breathing.*A malfunction in the lung purification system, resulting in the accumulation of toxic substances, and thus lung damage.*Permanent damage to the air sacs in the lungs.Smoking also causes serious diseases of the lungs, such as: cancer, tuberculosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
2-Effect of smoking on pregnancy and childbirth
- The death of the fetus before birth (miscarriage)
-The birth of the fetus is stillborn
- The fetus suffered cerebral palsy after birth
-Increased fetal heart rate
-Vision problems in the fetus after birth
-Delayed growth and development of the fetus
- Studies have shown that women who smoke are more likely to develop complications of pregnancy and childbirth, including bleeding



3-Effect OF Smoking on the Heart
Carbon monoxide and nicotine are the two chemicals that affect your cardiovascular system due to smoking. When high levels of carbon monoxide enter the bloodstream at a concentration above 1%, individuals may experience an increased heart rate and reduced tolerance to exercise. Nicotine is a highly addictive chemical in cigarettes and tobacco products. It can raise your blood pressure, increase your heart rate and harden arteries.
