and Kamaswami

Siddhartha wanders aimlessly for a few days. He notices
the animals, trees, wildlife and sees a general, beautiful
perspective of the Earth with his physical eyes. When
Siddhartha does reach the city, he stays with a ferryman
during the night. He is very kind to Siddhartha and almost
acts as a mentor to him, as he guides him through his path to
enlightenment. The ferryman was very helpful in teaching
Siddhartha how to stay on his path and not to lose sight of it. He
sleeps there during the night and continues his journey the next day.
And he will get even closer to reaching his goal of enlightenment.

Not only does the ferryman house him, but he gives him
some wise words and tells him to stay on the right path. He
does this as he gives Siddhartha a ferry ride across the river
into the city. While on the ferry, the ferryman noticed that
Siddhartha seemed confused and unsure. The ferryman talks to
Siddhartha and tells him that even though reaching
enlightenment seems difficult, it can be easy if he stays on the
right path and is diligent in his prayer and religion. Then, once they
reach the city, Siddhartha thanks him and goes on his way.
