WHAT WAS THE SUGAR ACT?

The sugar act cut tax on molasses and kept higher taxes on things like sugar. It also prohibited the importation of foreign rum.

WHAT HAND DID IT HAVE IN THE BIRTH OF AMERICA?

Colonists feared the intentions behind this act thinking it was tyranny from the British Parliament. This had a hand in the American Revolution
