WE PREPARE SNOW

MATERIALS

-Freshwater

-Bicarbonate

     STEPS

1. We put bicarbonate in a container

2. We let the children touch the bicarbonate to feel the texture

STEPS

3. We add fresh water in the container

4.We let the children mix the ingredients

5. And we get the snow

SPAIN. 5TH COURSE

A CHEMICAL CHANGE TO INFLATE  BALLOONS:  FERMENTATION

Materials: A bottle, 250ml of water, a packet of baking soda, a teaspoon, sugar , vinegar and some balloons.

1. We put baking soda , and water in the bottle

2. We add some vinegar

All the groups prepare the same experiment

We add some sugar , close the bottles with their caps and shake well

We remove the caps and put the balloons. They inflate the balloons because of the fermentation. ( The sugar has transformed into CO2)

EXPERIMENT 3

SPAIN. 4TH COURSE

REFRACTION: When light passes from one medium, or material, into another, it refracts.

Materials:

A transparent glass.

A straight pencil or paintbrush.

A sheet of paper

A couple of arrows

Some water.

The container is full of water and when the paintbrush is introduced into

It seems is broken

Steps:

1.-Draw an arrow or more on a piece of paper. No too close, nor too big.

2.- Place the empty glass in front of the arrow/s. 

3.- Pour some water into the glass.

4.- You can now see how arrows change direction

We can appreciate how the arrows have changed their direction because of refraction. Light rays are diverted when passing from one medium to another.

SEEDS (TOMATO, LETTUCE,PEPPER AND BROAD BEAN)

STEP 1 : WE PUT SUBSTRATE IN THE SEEDBED

STEP 2: WE PLACE  2/3 SEEDS WITHOUT SQUEEZING THE EARTH

STEP 3: SUBSTRATE COVER

STEP 4: WE IRRIGATE WITH PLENTY OF WATER IN SPRINKLER

FINAL... WATER DAILY UNTIL GERMINATION

When the first shoots appear, it is transplated to the garden and...READY!!!!

The fire is the sun, the kettle is the sea. The water of the sea is heated by the sea it EVAPORATES and then it CONDENSATES so the clouds become dark. 

And when the weather turns a bit cold, there is LIQUEFACTION (The rain)!

Easy peasy experiment with Skittles

What do you need:

- Skittles candies

- warm water

- plate

1st step: put Skittles on a plate to form a circle

2nd step: Pour in warm water on the plate

3rd step: Observe the plate and watch the beautiful spring rainbow appear in front of you

Step 1 - First of all, we did research on the volcano, listened to stories, watched videos, drew pictures.

MATERIALS

Vinegar

volcano model

Baking soda

Put the carbonate inside the volcano model.

Add food coloring to the mock-up to color it.

Pour vinegar into the baking soda model.
