Let me tell you something. If your parents say let's go on a perfectly safe plane into the rainforest and you have an option of gaming, playing with your dog, and soccer at home, pick the second option. Hi, my name is Haresh and I live with my mom, dad, and my dog, Roke. I live in Miami, Florida and our house is pretty big with a pool and a big backyard. Just saying, Miami has a population of around 6,000,000 people. And in the summer, stepping on Miami’s sand is like stepping on lava. So, why I talked about the rainforest is because… actually I’ll just tell you the story. We were planning, sorry my parents were planning a trip to the Amazon, and we hired a plane to get there. My mom said, “I would love to go to the rainforest.” 

My dad said, “Sure. A perfect place to relax. Very exotic.”

    So, we got on the private jet and were flying to a resort. RING! RING! But suddenly a beeping sound appeared. The sound was someone screaming in my ear. I couldn’t hear my parents and Roke, but I heard the pilot say to use the emergency escape. I guess my parents heard it too and jumped off the plane with parachutes. The problem was that we jumped in different directions. I couldn’t see where my parents were and they couldn’t see me. CRACK! Me and Roke jumped on a branch, and broke it. I racked my brain with anything I knew about the Amazon and all I got was the Amazon is ‘The lungs of the Earth.’ The rainforest gives a LOT of the Earth’s oxygen. I found a big fallen tree and thought I could camp here. Maybe make a fire. I made a fire with my survival camp skills and found some berries. I didn’t know if these were poisonous or not so I dug through my bag. My switch, I-pad, some granola bars, and a tin box of pizza. I ate a granola bar and tried to sleep. 

Roke whimpered and I told him, “Sorry Roke. Try to sleep and we’ll see what we should do tomorrow.”

 He whimpered again but cuddled with me and slept.
