This is a story about the life of Martin Luther King Jr. 

He is a well known figure in the Civil Rights 

Movement.  

Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 

29, 1929. 

 After attending high school, Martin Luther King Jr. 

attended college in 1944. He then headed towards a 

Doctorate's degree leading him into a Religious Career in 

1953. 

Married by then, Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife moved 

back south to Montgomery, Ala. He became the Pastor of 

the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church. 

This is where he was first know for his 

involvement in the Civil Rights Movement.

He boycotted for equal rights in the bus system. 

He was arrested for this boycott. This 365 day 

boycott led him to his arrest.
