Buddy was the BEST dog. He was large, furry and always smiling. Buddy loved ANYTHING and EVERYTHING especially his owner Fred!! 

"Time to wake up," Fred said.  YAY! "Time to eat. " YAY! "Time for a car ride," YAY! And "time for a walk". YAY! YAY! Buddy loved his life with Fred!

Buddy's happy, peaceful life was suddenly interrupted by the only thing he did not love…….squirrels!

Since they moved into his yard, everything had changed.

The squirrels dashed across the yard yelling,  “You will never catch us!"  

Buddy whispered, "I just wanted to catch ONE, just ONCE!

One day Buddy was sleeping in the backyard when OUCH!

Acorns were raining down on him.Buddy had enough! "I'll get you back one day!" Buddy yelled at those pesky squirrels.

Those squirrels were acting like they owned the place! He had tried hard to ignore them like Fred said, but Buddy knew he had to fight back!

Buddy spent the rest of the day devising a plan to win HIS yard back.

When Fred got home that night, Buddy was extra excited and yelling, "Fred! I'm going to run those squirrels off for good. Don't worry!!" 

After a filling dinner and some needed attention from Fred, Buddy settled into his bed for the night, dreaming of ways to kick the squirrels out of his yard.

The next morning, Buddy was ready to put Operation Squirrel Eradication into action. The squirrels were busy tending their acorns, when suddenly Buddy jumped on the tree and tried to climb it. SNEAK ATTACK!!

He got halfway up the tree when... CRASH! He fell on the grass. The startled squirrel said, “Buddy are you ok?”

Buddy could not respond and instead ran away completely embarrassed!

He sulked in the yard for the rest of the day scheming up his next plan to get back at those stinky, sketchy squirrels. 

The next day he went out back and waited patiently until he heard the subtle sound of acorns falling on the ground. Tap, thunk, thud.
