Once, pirates attacked the city of Atlantis and the people 

who lived there wanted to get their money back. The 

king of Atlantis wanted to be the hero who saved the city 

and so he decided to trick the pirates by making them a 

fake map that showed treasure, but where will he put the 

x 'No treasure’ mark ? It was x does not mark the spot! 

The pirates sailed off the seas with the map. Suddenly a 

skeleton of Atlantis became alive and attacked all the 

people because of the curse of lying to the pirates. And 

so the pirates didn’t know where they were going! “We 

are sailing to the treasure,” sang the pirates. But then 

they hit a rock. “We are singing,” shouted the pirates. 

“No you silly heads,” said the captain “We are sinking!” 

Meanwhile the skeleton   made a whole army of skeletons. 

About two thousand five hundred and six. More and more 

people were dying. Soon the skeletons all ran out of 

energy and died but mostly everyone living in Atlantis 

was now dead. Everyone except the king, the president, 

the mayor, and all of the police force were dead. 

The king, the mayor, the president and all of the police 

force started to think how to break the curse so everyone 

would be alive again. The pirates were still singing and 

they were almost fully sung. “I have an idea,” said the 

captain “We have to jump on this rock for our lives!” They 

all jumped for their lives. The pirates all said to the 

captain, “Thank you for saving us from singing!” “My 

pleasure,” said the captain in a just-have-to-live-with-it-

voice.

At Atlantis the king, the mayor, the president and the 

police went on the biggest rowing boat they had ever 

seen. But it was going to take a really long time to cacth 

up with the pirates. The pirates were now angry with the 

captain because they couldn’t go anywhere except around 

the rock! Then the captain couldn’t take any more of the 

noise and got really mad. 

He said angrily, “You are the worst crew ever and I 

should have kept that idea to myself then I would be alive 

and you would all be dead!” Then the pirates had an idea. 

“We were all about to sing. We were singing. What would 

happen if we did sing?” The captain exploded because of 

all the nonsense they were saying and the captain died. 

Now all the pirates had to do was yell for help and wait. 

Oh the horrors that the mayor, the king, the president 

and the police will have to face. Now the mayor said 

octopus ahead! They accidently banged into the octopus 

but it got angry and got it’s eight legs and got the  

mayor, the president, the king and all of the police force. 

The octopus ate all of the police except one. The police 

would have to wait for nature to take it’s course. The 

octopus then ate the president and then let everyone 

else go. Oh the horrors the mayor, the policeman and 

the king would have to face! 

Over at the rock the pirates were running out of food 

and water. “We need water,” said the pirates, “We need 

food.” But then a squid grabbed half of the pirates and 

dragged them into the sea. “So much for shouting out 

loud to make the squid hear us!” It was looking like the 

pirates would die in less than five days.
