Although the King and Queen gave him lots of love, but they were often absent in Peter's life because of the amount of business that they need to take care of to run a kingdom. Therefore, Peter gradually grew keen to John the Mentor. John gave Peter his love, generosity, kindness, and patience. When Peter reached his 6th birthday, John proposed to the the King and the Queen to let Peter to go to school with other children in the Kingdom. At first, the King and the Queen were concerned. They knew that Peter was hard to deal with, they worried whether or not other kids will welcomed Peter. But John the Mentor ensured the King and the Queen that Peter will be okay under his care. The King and the Queen decided to ask Peter for his will. Initially, Peter was discouraged to meet other children, since he had never did it before in his life. But after knowing that it was John's idea, Peter finally agreed that he would go to school. A few days after, Peter stepped on the school bus, with John looking at him from far away.

However, when Peter came back to the castle from his first day of school. John nicely asked Peter how was his first day at school. Peter immediately broke out to crying and shouting. "I will never go to school again!" Yelled Peter. "What happened Peter? What makes you so sad?" John asked softly. It wasn't until an hour later that Peter opened his mouth and told John what had happened in school.
Inciting incident

"When I was at school, there are so many poor people around me. I just shouldn't be in the same room as these poor, disgusting, people, who have no manner at all!" Peter screamed. "And it's not fair that the peasants got better marks than me. I laughed at one of the peasant because his cloth looked so poorly made, but that peasant then laughed at me for having no friends. Am I not the prince of this kingdom? How dare are the peasants be challenged the princess of the kingdom? I'm going to tell Mom and Dad about this and they will make the principal expel all the peasants in the school, and send them in prison for being mean to me!" Peter cried.

After listening to Peter's story, John licked Peter and said gently, "clam down Peter, it's going to be okay." Then John slowly took out a book and read it to Peter. "Peter, I know you are feeling down right now, but here's something very important that I wants to you to learn, and I want you to pay attention." Out of respect to John, Peter stopped crying and nodded to John, telling John that he's ready to listen. Both of them sat down on a rug, John slowly turned the pages in the book and read the content out loud.
Rising Action

"Once upon a time," John slowly opened his mouth, "there's a philosopher of kindness, whose name was Jesus." Peter nodded, John continued, "Jesus was loved by everyone, and have a lot of friends. Peter, didn't you think that everyone in your class was mean to you?" Peter answered, "the peasants are all so mean to me, even though I did nothing wrong!""Well, Peter, then you should learn from Jesus, so everyone else will like you." Peter's eyes shined, "I want other peasants to like me! Tell me, John, tell me. How did Jesus made everyone like him?"

John said, "One reason Jesus was so widely loved, was that he loved everyone in the first place, he show his kindness to the people around him and his neighbors ("5 Teachings of Jesus"). So, Peter, if you wants to be like Jesus and get loved by everyone, you need to love them first." Peter sniffed, "but they are dirty peasants, and I'm so much better than the peasants because I have more golds than them."

"So, Peter, you would have to treat them the way you want them to treat you, this is Jesus's golden rule (Elizabeth). You think your classmates as peasants the first time you see them, of course they wouldn't like you! If I tell you that you are a bad boy the very first day we met, would you still respect me today?" Peter slowly shook his head, but later on added, "but me and the peasants are still differed from each other, I'm the honorable prince while they were just some dirty, poor peasants!" "Peter, everyone on this planet is equal to each other, we are all God's creations, no matter how poor you are or how much wealth you have, only God have the right to say whether or not we are good (Castleberry)."

After listening to John's story about kindness and love, Peter said, "alright John, I guess I will go to school tomorrow, this time I will try to love the peasants so they love me back." John smiled, "maybe stop calling them peasants will be better."
However, on the next day, Peter came back in tear again. He's again screaming and yelling and crying, and not willing to go back to school on the next day. John, again, asked Peter what happened in school

Peter told John what happened at school today, "I told them that I love them and will not see them as dirty peasants anymore. I kept telling them that they should be my friends now since I will be nice to them. I talked to everyone in the class. But they just looked at me and walked away. What do they expect me to do?! I already did what I have to do, why are they still not loving me?" Peter cried, "I'm so lonely and no one talked to me during lunch, I don't want to go to school anymore!" After hearing this, John signed, then he took out his book again. ""Peter, are you ready for the next story?

John started reading his book, "once upon a time, there's a philosopher named Laozi, who's so wise that he created the teaching of Wuwei, which means 'effortless actions' (Christenson)." Peter asked, "does this just mean being lazy?" John shook his head and go on, "Laozi and Wuwei said, as long as you follow your inner mind, you will have a happy life (Mark). Be flexible, and find the energy that lies in the nature of the world and the universe, you will eventually find a way to happiness ("Taoism"). Be spontaneous and stopped trying to be the person that you are not, don't go against the current, instead, follow it ("We-Wei"). Don't force it or exaggerated, flow with it in a non disturbing way ("Taoism, Daoism"). then, Peter, you will find harmonies in your life."

Peter shook his head, "John, what does that even mean? I don't understand what you are talking about at all! What even is universe and currents and harmonies? " John smiled, "Peter, this simply means that you don't make things happened, take it easy, and relax, things will eventually happened, and you will eventually make friends." Peter then asked, "so you mean I just sit on my seat and do nothing until someone come to me?" John slowly shook his head, "no, Peter. I mean for you to not force anyone to be your friends. Imagine if I forced you to eat cookies, you will find the cookies not taste good. But if you want to eat cookies, you will find it delicious. Don't try to be friends with everyone, just the ones the you wanted to talk with."

After telling his stories, John softly asked Peter, "are you ready to go back to school tomorrow after today's story?" Peter slowly nodded his head, and proudly said, "yes, John! I will going back to school and make a friend!" John smiled. The next day Peter went on to school buses again.
However, this time, Peter again came back to the castle with tears on his face. He again, shouted and screamed at John for making him going to school. "Why are you even making me going to school, John! I hate you!"

After John's comfort, Peter finally calm down and started telling John what had happened in school. "During the class, the teacher was going through difference types of animals.and their habitats. And the teacher told us that it's because of us humans stole the animals' places to live."
Everyone in the class agrees with what the teacher said, but there's one that doesn't, Peter. Peter stood up and shouted, "no, this is not true. We are not stealing the animals' home, we are simply making their home better! And, animals are weak, it's right when us strong human took their home!" Then, one of Peter's classmate shouted, "no, Peter, you are wrong! Because of those adults, the animals are gone and disappearing! Why do you think that we don't see rabbits that often now?"
