Our story is an event that happened near a river and which I remember with great affection.

One fine autumn morning, when the leaves are beginning to fall from the trees and the cold is making its appearance on the roads, a family of crabs that had their house by the river went out early in search of food and to go for a walk.

This family consisted of Mama crab, Papa crab and two playful little crabs, who liked to go ahead and not wait for their parents; they left their house quickly, quickly, for a walk. 

Their mother warned them:

-Don't go too far, you might get lost.

And they answered in chorus:

-No mum, we know the way by heart.

-Even so," said mama crab, "stay close to us in case of mishaps.

The little crabs began to play and play, inventing races, competitions with their tongs and many other games. The smallest one came up with the idea of playing hide and seek, as they are very quick at it.

Pico and Pon, as the little crabs were called, hid and took turns looking for each other. They had a lot of fun and, without realising it, they got away from their parents. Pico, the smallest, hid so well that Pon looked for him and looked for him and couldn't find him. Worried, he went to look for his parents to tell them that Pico was missing. Meanwhile, Pico came out of hiding and did not find his brother, so he started walking and walking, trying to remember the way back home to surprise his family.
