Hi, my name is Leto and I’ve got four legs and four eyes. My head is very big and my feet are very small. I’m blue and furry.

I’m ten years old. My birthday is in October.

My favourite colour is red and my favourite day of the week is Saturday.

I’ve got a best friend. His name is Skip. Skip has got ten eyes and he is very intelligent.

I go to school by bus and Skip goes to school by bike.

We are in the same class. Mr Tricky is our “Scarytime” teacher.

  We love his lessons.

I’ve got a red and purple school bag with shapes: stars and hearts.

In my school bag I’ve got thirty-six markers, three scissors,

 three pens (a red pen, a blue pen and a black pen), four

rubbers and six sharpeners.

Leto -Hello Skip! How are you?

Skip- I’m happy. It’s my birthday.

L- What day is it today?

S- It’s Wednesday.

L- Oh...Happy Birthday Skip.

S- Thank you. Here’s my birthday invitation card:

L- So yummy! I’m hungry. Let’s go to the canteen and have lunch.

Mrs Zombie- Good afternoon children.

L- Good afternoon Mrs Zombie.

MZ-Today we have tomato eye soup, blue spaghetti with boiled eggs and fish ice cream.

L - OMG! That is my favourite food! Tomato eye soup is so delicious!

MZ - Is it your birthday today?

S - Yes, it’s me, it’s me, it’s my birthday! And today we have ice cream for dessert! Yummy…

L- I love chocolate, too! Let’s eat cake!

Everyone runs to the table.

Kira, a friend of Leto and Skip says:

K- OMG! The cake is so …!

S-  What? Beautiful?

K- No, so …

S- What? Big??

K- No, so …

S- What? Square?

K-Well, yes. But no, so …

S- What? Black?

K- Well, yes. It’s made of chocolate. But no, so…

S- What? Delicious?

K- Well, yes. But no, so…

S- What? What is it?

K- Well, the strawberries are purple…

Skip is sad. He cries.

K- It’s OK, Skip. I like purple strawberries. Don’t cry.

Skip stops crying. He is happy again.

MZ- Let’s have a game children!

The children are happy. They like to play games!

L- What game, Mrs Zombie?

MZ- Sit in a circle, children and close your eyes.

The children sit. They are very happy. They love Mrs Zombie and they love games.

MZ- Concentrate, children. Open your hands. 

MZ gives the children some coins.

MZ - Count the coins.

The children count the coins: one, two, three, four, five, six, 

seven, eight, nine, ten. 

Children- Ten coins.

MZ- Let’s make a pyramid with the coins. Don’t open your eyes. (...)

Now, open your eyes and invert the pyramid. You can only make three moves with three coins, one coin at a time.

Children - What a funny game! Let’s try.

Skip - I made it.

MZ - Well done, Skip. Now, it’s your turn, Kira.

Kira is nervous. She failed and now she is sad.

Mz- Try again, Kira. 

Leto- I can help you. We are friends.

Finally, Kira inverted the pyramid. She is very happy. She sings the alphabet song.

Mz- Pick up the coins. Close your hands and your eyes. Think about your favourite colour. 

I’m going to say the magic words: Drabugaa…

Open your hands and your eyes.

Kira: Wooow, I’ve got pink chocolate coins.

Skip: And I’ve got blue chocolate coins.

Leto: Mine are red. 

The bell rings. It’s time to go to class.

The bell rings again. It’s six o’clock. Time to go home. 

Leto leaves school and he goes to the supermarket to buy popcorn. He wants to watch the “Queen’s Corgi” film. 

L: What a great day!

Leto lives in a big house in front of the hospital and next to the park. 

Finally, he is home. But when he opens the door he sees a big yellow spider on the wall!

ahhhhh! he screams. His mother comes running.

M: What is it, Leto? Are you OK?

L: Yes, mum! There is a big yellow spider on the wall! I don't like spiders!

M: It's OK Leto, it is a beautiful painting your sister painted at school! It's not a spider, it's the sun!
