This book is a project for our Biology class. Made in September, 2023 by Sadie Schwartz and Daphne Schemel. This book will teach you a few facts about macromolecules.

Amino Acids
Amino Acids combine molecules to make proteins.

Carbohydrate
Carbohydrates also known as carbs are sugar molecules. A few compounds of carbohydrates are starch, sugars, and cellulos.

Ribose Sugar
Ribose sugar you guessed it is a sugar. Ribose sugar has five carbon atoms and five oxygen atoms in each molecule and is apart of RNA.

Fatty Acids
Fatty Acids are fats in our bodies that act like building blocks. These also occur as esters in fats and oils.

Hydrogen Bond
Hydrogen bonding are between two atoms that attract atoms that already participate in other chemical bonds. Which is also a weak bond between a proton in one molecule and an electromagnetic atom.

Macromolecule
Macromolecules are very large molecules built up from small chemical structures. Also carries a very large number of atoms such as proteins, nucleic acid, and synthetic polymer.

Monomer
Monomer can be bonded with other identical molecules to form a ploymer.

Nitrogen
Nitrogen is a tasteless, odorless, colorless, a gas and makes up most of the atmosphere. Nitrogen also is apart of all living things.

Nucleic Acid
Nucleic Acid is naturally occurring chemical compounds that serve as the primary information carrying molecules in cells.

Phosphate Group
Phosphate atom is a functional group characterized by a phosphorus atom that can bond with four oxygen atom.

Glucose
Glucose is a form of sugar which is important energy source in living organisms and body's cells.

Protein
Protein is a natural occurring, complex substance that consists of amino acid residues joined by peptide bonds.
