A polynomial is an expression that is composed of variables, constants, and exponents. They are combined using mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. The number of terms present in each expression is either classified as a monomial, binomial, or trinomial. The degree of a polynomial is defined by the highest exponent within the polynomial.
Polynomial Basic Info.

Monomials
A monomial is a polynomial that only has one term. A monomial can have multiple variables and a higher degree too. A monomial is also called a power product. The product of powers and variables with non-negative integer exponents. This could include repetitions.
Binomials
A binomial is a polynomial with two terms. A binomial is a polynomial that is the sum of two terms, each of which is a monomial. A binomial is the simplest polynomial after monomials. Each term in a binomial is usually joined by a plus or minus sign.
Trinomials
A trinomial is a polynomial consisting of three terms or three monomials. A trinomial is an algebraic expression that consists of variables and constants of one or more terms. These expressions use symbols such as plus, minus, multiply, and divide.
