"Mom, is food grown in the grocery store?" asked Levi to his Mother. Levi's mom replies, "No son, but I know just the place that may help  answer that question."

Farmer's Market

OPEN EVERY WEEKEND

Levi looked out the window as his mom drove out of the city limits and turned left to follow a sign pointing to the Farmer's Market.

When Levi and his mom arrived at the Farmer's Market Levi was amazed at all the beautiful tables of fruit and vegetables that surrounded him. 

"Mom, this looks like a grocery store but we are outside" Levi said as he walked past a table full of juicy mangos and ripe berries.

Levi's mom grabbed him by the hand and said "Look, there is my friend Farmer Brown! He is who I wanted you to meet."

"Hi Farmer Brown, my son has a question he wants to ask you." Levi's mom said.

"Does food grow in a grocery store?" Levi asked as he hid behind his mom.

Farmer Brown smiled and began to tell Levi about his farm a few miles away. He pointed to each item on his table and explained how he plants, waters, and harvests his produce weekly and then sets up at the Farmer's Market on the weekends to sell his fresh produce.
