The black cloud rolled over the sky, scars of yellow
lightning, streaking down with his loyal companion-
the rain. The ride started to get bumpy; I heard the
unnerving rain pattering on the roof of the plane. Like
a fever, the plane started to splutter, a heatwave of
panic drove across the room.
There was an explosive WHOOSH sound as the plane
drooped, forfeiting against the ferocious storm of black
clouds. I hid in an enclosed room, where I could easily
evade the obstacles rolling everywhere.
My throat could partially exert a scream as we hit the
ground, with full force. I did not know what to do,
either to take the risk of going outside and staying
here… forever.

I was once, a scientist, but now, I was no more than a
crippled scientist with a crippled dream. This accident
was a fatal fault in my investigation, to unfold and prize
the knowledge that Earth concealed, this could’ve been
the end, but I decided to get up.
I slid through the door outside, I gaped in pain as a
wound was slit open by the sharp debris. Like a red
comet, blood started leaking out. I scanned the horizon
with my eye, attempting to identify any unexpected
presence. Merely trees, among trees, among trees.

The searing, sizzling, shining, spectacular sun blazed with
ferociousness, scorching my skin to the bone. I meandered
along the concealed paths that lead along to the central forest.
I saw the luscious lemons overhanging the trees, neglected in
overgrowth.
I look ahead at the shimmering, shiny swamp radiating its
brilliance in the reflection of the sun, littered with lily pads. I
glance ahead once more, seeing trees dangling blueberries
from their outstretched arms. An excruciating rumble
resonated from my stomach at the presence of berries.
The only question I had lingering in my mind was if the
berries were poisonous. My question was immediately
answered as a bulky, beautiful birdy swooped down into a dive
and plucked a berry out of the trees graciously. My hunger
was immediately vanquished as I yanked a couple of berries
from the tree.

I continued to lumber along the path, watching the monkey
and birds swinging joyously along the trees, chirping and
hooting their gracefully and harmonious songs. Suddenly,
sense had come back to reality when I saw a pair of piercing
black eyes, shimmering in the blackness, like a radiating like a
ruby in the darkest place possible. They grew bigger… and
bigger… reproaching me like air. I looked down to see those
shiny dagger-like claws shining like scythes at every approach.
Once last foul smell of its breath, I swear, would have
suffocated me. I made a run for it, this was when a mad
pursuit commenced. I was like a fish, being chased by a shark.
I was useless, and didn’t know where I was going.
I came to a cliff’s edge, by breath hoarse, my head, swinging
and my heart was like a drum on fire.
