Everyone was excited, but some kids were a little nervous. Including Katie. This was Katie's first day in her new school. Everyone else had gone to first grade last year in Kemper, but she went to first grade in a whole different state!
Katie was feeling sad, and scared. She didn't know anyone. But then she met Clara.
