thank you to my class and students
It was a sunny Monday morning at Sunnydale Elementary.
All the students were excited because it was the day of their big end-of-year school trip!
"Where do you think we're going?" asked Sam to their friend Mia.
"I hope it's the zoo!" said Mia.
The students all gathered in the schoolyard and boarded the big yellow bus. Their teacher Ms. Johnson stood at the front.
"Alright class, is everyone here? Great! Buckle your seatbelts, we're off on our trip!" she said.
The bus rumbled down the road as the kids chattered away, wondering where they were going.
Ms. Johnson announced
"Okay everyone, look out the windows! I think you'll recognize where we are..."
The kids all peered out and gasped - it was the zoo!
"Yay!" shouted Mia.
They had arrived at their destination.
The class piled off the bus excitedly.
"Alright class, remember to stay with your buddy. Have fun but be safe!" reminded Ms. Johnson.
The kids spread out to see the different animals. Mia and Sam went to see the monkeys first.
"Look, they're playing and swinging just like us!" said Sam.

"the big school trip"
At the zoo, Mia and Sam have a wonderful time exploring all the animal exhibits together. They see monkeys, lions, penguins, giraffes and more. After a delicious picnic lunch, the afternoon brings aquariums full of fish and encounters with bears, elephants and flamingos.
Too soon, it's time to board the bus for the ride home. With ice cream cones in hand and memories of the animals fresh in their minds, the students agree it was the best field trip ever. Back at school, Mia and Sam relive the magical day through drawings and conversations with friends. Their trip to the zoo creates lasting memories and learning that will inspire the class for years to come.
