Do you know what the cell cycle is?

Don't worry I'll teach you!

The cell cycle is made up of 3 main stages: Interphase, Mitosis, and Cytokineses

Each stage does something different to help cells grow and divide.
Fun fact: There are 3 checkpoints in the cell cycle. Where the cells stop to check and make sure everything is going smooth :D

Lets go on an adventure in the cell cycle!
The Cell cycle all starts with chromosomes. Chromosomes is packages of DNA. They are organized from largest to shortest. They contain all of out genes.

WOAH! Look at that cell. It's currently in the Interphase stage. The little string pieces in the nucleus is DNA.

The Interphase has 3 parts/stages to it: G1, S, and G2. All these stages help the cell prepare to divide
Fun Fact: Interphase is the longest stage in the cell cycle

The cell grows in the G1 stage

The cells DNA replicates in S stage

Fun Fact: After the replication the chromosome is called a "Sister chromatide."

And the cell prepares to divide in G2 stage

There are 2 checkpoints in the Interphase. In G1 and G2.
