Cold winters are hard on all different kinds of animals.
A fawn and his mother struggle to find dinner each night.

The two must dig deep into the snow to try and find grass to eat.

They search day,
and night.
Sometimes they can find a small patch of dead grass. Enough to keep them from being starving.

Finding food is still proving to be difficult with all the snow.
The next morning, the deer head out to begin their search again.
“Mom, I’m tired of digging!” the fawn complains.

“I know hun, me too.” His mother sighs and continues digging.

“I don’t want to dig anymore!” the fawn shouts.
“I’m done!” the young deer stomps off in anger.
The fawn goes home in anger to be met with a bunny waiting outside.

"Who are you?" the fawn asks. "What are you doing here?"

The bunny smiles and says, "I'm here to help you, why are you so angry?"
