Darla, Peggy, Franz, and Buck are all Seniors at Elk
Creek High School. On Tuesday, the four students
arrived at school and realized that they all had
forgotten to complete their Psychology homework.
Upon their realization, they decided to go to the
schools garden to work on the homework together.
These students are definitely Type B individuals.
They are all very kind, easy going individuals, but
when it comes to school work, they aren't very
concerned with completing their assignments when
their supposed to.

It is now 8:00 a.m. and Darla and Peggy are becoming very
stressed out and aggravated with Franz and Buck because
they aren't doing any of the work. There are 40 questions
that need to be completed within 35 minutes, because class
will be starting at 8:45, and they need to get to class. So
they turn to tell the boys, "if you two can't help us, then
y'all can get a zero and fail the class on your own." Buck and
Franz immediately realize that the girls aren't playing with
them, and they sit down to help them rush to finish.
So their conflict situation is (Approach-Avoidance) because
they have the choice to complete the homework, and get a
good grade ... or choose not to complete the homework and
receive a zero, which will lower their grade as a whole.

It is now 8:45, and the four students have finally made
it to class. They are all relieved from the overwhelming
stress of scrambling to complete their homework. Upon
their arrival, Mr. Webb explains to the class that he
isn't at all prepared for class today and last nights
homework will now be due the following day. Darla,
Peggy, Franz, and Buck all look at each other in
disbelieve, but they all know that their stress-free
from worrying about homework that night.
(The students chose to compromise and all agree to
work together to complete the homework so that they
wouldn't receive a bad grade. Although the situation
was very stressful, as a team they pulled together and
got the work done.)
