In the world of atoms, all sorts of fascinating bonds occur each and every day. Whether it is ionic or covalent bonds and where bonding was the key to the atoms. Although to others the world of atoms may seem very large it is actually quite small and so bonding occurs very often.

Here our story begins with 2 atoms, Sodium (Na) and Calcium (Cl). Sodium was a very charming young boy atom who was always positive and willing to share with others. From the first time he met Calcium he knew that she was the atom who he wanted to give his valence electrons and bond. 

Calcium however was a very shy young girl atom who was always negative because of her deeply traumatic past where her parents died in nuclear explosion. When she first met Sodium, it was love at first sight, but she did not want to tell him because she was afraid of losing him just like how she lost her parents at a very young age.

Sodium wanted to give Calcium his valence electrons, but Calcium refused many times however since Sodium was so persistent, Calcium eventually gave in and accepted his valence electrons and created a positively charged ion (Na+) and a negatively charged ion (Cl-). Together they were able to form the ionic compound NaCl which is also known as table salt. 

They were very happy with bonding together and went on to do many great things such as being able to be used in foods to add taste to foods which made them very happy. Their bond was very strong and thus had a very happy and long-lasting relationship.
