Little Jack was... little. You can guess that, just by his name.
Little Jack was very little for his age. Sure, he ate his food and exercised, but he did not grow much more.
Many of the boys knew this, and they bullied him for it. Little Jack felt very sad.
One day, one of the boys, Abel, discovered that his cat was stuck under the church porch. Abel was very sad because that was his only pet, his little 'Beth.' Some of the boys used to tease him for giving so much special treatment to Beth. But now, when Abel asked them to help him get his cat, they could see how much he liked his cat and tried to help him.
All of the boys tried to fit under the crack that Abel's little cat slipped through, but they were all too big.
''Maybe we can ask Jack for help,'' one of the boys said reluctantly.
Abel was uncertain. ''But we've been so mean to him.''
''Let's apologize,'' another boy said.
So that's how all of the boys knocked and Jack's door and apologized.
Jack knew he had to forgive them, because Jesus says in the Bible to love your enemies. So he replied, ''Yes, I forgive you.''
Abel stepped foward. ''My cat is stuck under the porch, and with you being small and all, do you think you can help?''
Jack tensed up. These boys have been bullying all of these years! It's one thing to forgive them, but to help them?
Jack decided to let the boys take him to the church to see what they have been talking about.
