Introduction
Stars are all different, wondrous things, which all go
through different life cycles. This book will outline the life
cycles of three types of stars; catagorised into
Small Stars - nebulae, protostar, main sequence, white
dwarf
Average Stars - nebulae, protostar, main sequence, red
giant, planetary nebulae, white dwarf
Large Stars - nebulae, protostar, main sequence, super
giant, supernova, blackhole/neutron star

Bright Beginnings
All stars begin from clouds of dust called
nebulae. This birthplace of stars is made
of hydrogen gas and dust

Protostars
The nebula forms a ball of gas and dust
pulled together by gravity. As the gas
cloud gets denser, nuclear fusion occurs
- which creates the energy found in
stars.

Main Sequence Stars
The middle and longest stage a star is in. Our sun is
in this stage. This is the stage where the sun is still
effectively burning fuel. All stars go through this
stage.

Red Giants
The stage after main sequence for medium stars
(small stars skip this step) Large stars occurring
when the main fuel source of a star begins to run
out in a medium sized star causing the star to
expand

Super Giants
The stage after main sequence for Large Stars
when they begin to run out of fuel. This causes it to
expand (similar to red giants)

Supernova
This is the large explosion that occurs when a large
star runs out of fuel and needs to release energy.
